Golf Tournament & Auction

 

The Second Annual Hit It & Hope Golf Tournament to benefit The Billy Burchard Foundation was held July 28, 2008 on the Ocean Course at New Seabury on Cape Cod. It was as spectacularly successful as the first thanks once again to great sponsors, the efforts of an army of dedicated volunteers, and perfect weather.

We had 140 golfers leave the clubhouse "shotgun-style" out to their designated tees at 10AM. From start to finish at about 3PM the sun was out with a light ocean breeze to keep the temperatures comfortable in the 80's. All-in-all a perfect summer day for some lawn hockey.

And the winners are...

The youngsters held the field, as Joe Burchard's foursome had a best-ball score of 59 to claim first place. Stuart Cody's foursome also shot a 59 for second place, and Jack Finigan and crew placed third with a 60.
